America’s Blame Culture

Why can’t we stop some of the needless litigation that plagues our courts? Simultaneously, despite all our litigation, most injured victims are not being compensated. Why can’t our jurisprudence successfully respond to the needless litigation while compensating wrongfully injured persons? Capitalism should not become a license to harm others with impunity. This book addresses these issues and advocates changes that would reduce litigation and compensate wrongfully injured victims.

Law is a social contract. It grows out of the needs of the people. While law involves fairness and efficiency, the major purpose of our legal system is to provide civil justice. It’s time for Americans to end the blame culture whereby too many matters end up in litigation or remain unresolved. By adopting new policies, we can become less legalistic and improve the quality of our lives and the lives of those around us.
