The third edition of Boswell's guide to both theoretical issues and procedural rules encompasses the changes made to immigration and nationality law since its original publication. Although business visas are a very significant part of any discussion of immigration law, this is the only casebook which deals extensively with the subject. Indeed, nonimmigrant and immigrant employment visas have become the mainstay of immigration practice.
Boswell presents the important cases in a procedural context, thereby introducing the student or new practitioner to immigration law in a way that enables him or her to more easily grasp the subject matter.
The new edition includes new cases and problems and flow charts, bringing the book up-to-date through spring 2000. In addition, Boswell has expanded on the sections on nonimmigrant, immigrant, asylum, and relief from removal.
A separate statutory and regulatory supplement shows the old provisions as well as the new, providing an interlineated version of the statutes and making clear what changes were made in the language.
A teacher's manual is also available.
