This volume is the first devoted exclusively to North American adult criminal gangs and how these gangs often cooperate in criminal pursuits with one another within and across national borders. The text demonstrates that adult criminal gangs are more than a United States problem; they are an international problem requiring combined and coordinated solutions among and between the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Specifically, the text addresses: Street gangs (Los Angeles and Chicago based/influenced gangs, Canadian aboriginal gangs and the international super street gangs such as MS-13 and the 18th Street Gang); the prison gangs of each country (including the Mexican Mafia, Aryan Brotherhood, Public Enemy Number 1, Manitoba Warriors and the Aztecas); outlaw motorcycle gangs; and drug trafficking organizations.

The text documents that American-based motorcycle gangs, such as the Hells Angels, Bandidos, Outlaws, Mongols and Vagos have expanded their criminal networks internationally, including Europe, Canada and Mexico. The text provides ample photos and images that allow the reader to see the gangs symbols and other identifiers.
