The goal of the Carolina Academic Press Legal History Series is to foster a deeper understanding of law and legal institutions from an historical perspective. The series is not limited to any particular society or period of history, and it will encompass both modern scholarly editions of legal works from the past and contemporary scholarship in legal history. We are particularly interested in work that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries. Contributors include academic lawyers and historians. The series is edited by Dr. H. Jefferson Powell, Duke University School of Law. Please contact him or the Press for more information about the series.
