The mission of the Studies on Globalization and Society Series (SGS) is to publish provocative books on the interaction among developed and developing countries. The unifying theme of the SGS Series is to explore long-term benefits and costs from globalization, particularly the dichotomy between long-term social justice and short-term economic advantage. The unifying approach of the SGS Series is to take risks, namely, to challenge conventional wisdom about pressure points created by realities and aspirations in the international order. The series is edited by Raj Bhala, University of Kansas School of Law.
